Almost 7 years ago Jake and I moved to Pittsburgh. Since moving to Pittsburgh I have had the privilege of seeing several plays and performances in and around the city. I have even been able to take my young children to a play during the EQT Children’s Festival this past May. Pittsburgh offers so much in the theater department for people and children of all ages.
A New Theater Season
I am so excited to be able to share with you some wonderful shows for families with children of all ages. The Children’s Theater Series is celebrating its 50th birthday this season and will be presenting award-winning, professional theater for its young audiences ages 3 and up. The EQT Bridge Theater is also getting ready for a new season with performances created specifically for pre-teens and teens.
Shows & Dates
The Children’s Theater series has an exciting lineup with popular titles your children are sure to know and love. The season will be kicked off with Judy Moody & Stink and include The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System, Diary of a Wombat and others! Shows begin November 17, 2019 and end May 17, 2020. The EQT Bridge Theater has several shows in this season’s line up as well focusing on adventure, captivating stories, humor and plenty of surprises! The shows include Walk Two Moons, An Elephant in the Garden and more! Show dates start November 8, 2019 and end May 17, 2020.
Locations & Tickets
All of the shows have specific dates and some shows have locations all over the Pittsburgh area so you do not need to travel downtown for a show necessarily. Some other great news regarding the shows are that tickets are very affordable with the most expensive ticket being $12! I know for our family the ticket prices begin to add up so I love this about the shows.
